prophet's mosque

The city of Madinah holds a special significance for Muslims because it welcomed Prophet Muhammad after his exile from Makkah. He made it his home, gave it his protection and his blessing. Madinah became the capital of Islam and the foundation of the Prophet's Mosque — where Prophet Muhammad was laid to rest.

Madinah draws many faithfuls who wish to walk in the footsteps of the Prophet, but the Prophet's Mosque is like the gem within the crown of Madinah, offering the benefit of any worshiper's prayers being worth a thousand times more here than at any other mosque (with the exception of the Grand Mosque of Makkah).

The Mosque and its adjacent plaza accommodate more than half a million people, yet this is not nearly enough for the ever-growing worshiper demand... Recommending solutions has been a very interesting part of my job here.
